Delhi revisted.

i've just returned after dropping the love of my life at the airport - by now she must be nearing calcutta - the landing gear must be going down even as i type - that's if mallaya's managed to pay all the DGCA guys in important places - the guys who can ensure that all his aircraft manage to reach all their destinations on time!! speaking of mallaya - the guy knows exactly how to keep people happy - the people who matter i.e. - the passengers being a part of those people. ok ok enough - back to topic...

so, we've spent the past 3 days (and a half, if you include the train ride into the capital) planning a lot of stuff - and also saying our goodbyes - it's going to be a month at least (40 days at most) before i see her again... but there is a way things might change - but i'm not mentioning it here :) hehe ...

we reached on the night of 26th and decided that 27th is going to be the day we re-live our 'ol days (which aren't all that old - go back about 6 months)... so we were up at 5 AM - i got the bike from chow's place (he has to be my No.1 most dependable friend) - walked down to his room (about 6 clicks away) ... then we had our grub (poori aalu) and set out at 10.. to meet her best buddy at 11 (later, 1300hrs) at CP - our olde favourite haunt... in hindsight, the delay was a blessing - we walked around all of connaught - just the 2 of us.. and checked out all our old 'places where we sat' and a few showrooms as well...

then got our bike out of the parking near Janpath CCD - another landmark - and left for saket.. the usual ride thru delhi traffic which i used to find so normal - now found quite difficult, primarily due to the missing RVMs on chow's bike.

saket looked just the same - nonetheless we mangaed to find the mobile showrooms which we never knew existed - yep, thats right - coz who goes mobile shopping in saket? and i got the 300 buck scratch-guard re-installed on the phone.

we got tickets for the 2100h show of --- what movie was that??? hmmm lemme check on the PVR website ---- yes, it was "breach" - a movie about an intelligence leak or something to do with the FBI i guess... 'i guess' coz 4 mins into the movie i was in za-za land - i got up for the intermession coz the guy next to me 'excuse me'd' while he was going to get some popcorn combo worth 300 bux for his girl - and then again 5 mins short of the titles.. so when i got out of the theatre - i almost fell over 10 people. i looked drunk and dazed !!

anways, somehow rode back to the hostel (memorable) - the ride froze the two of us. but we needed sleep badly and we were dehydrated. i needed to reach the office of the big man at 0830 next morning.

got up early and somehow made it to the place in time. was called in and things went as per plan (actually as per a plan that no human could possibly hatch up) - things went way better than any plan i could imagine !! yes, we'd asked for the impossible and the impossible is exactly what He got for us...

got back and decided that we need a lot of sleep. so that's what we got after lunch - a LOT of sleep. slept the entire AN and the night thereafter.

that brings me back to this morning - this is like those wierd english movies which i always fail to understand and unravel - the kinds where movie starts in the present, moves into a flashback; and then comes back to the present day !! heh :) so today... hmm today was nice day except for the part when i saw her off at the airport. now i look forward to either landing where the wheels must have just touched down; or coming back here to receive her on the inbound !!!
